Andrews Ward Associates is a specialist ecological consultancy established in 1991. Our clients include commercial industrial companies, government departments, statutory agencies and local authorities throughout the UK and overseas.
All the Associates are highly experienced specialists, covering the range of ecological disciplines and habitats, including and terrestrial flora and fauna, freshwater and marine habitats.
Our services include:-
- surveying habitats, plants, invertebrates, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals
- assessing the effects of habitat modification, fragmentation and loss, and of impacts such as human disturbance and traffic noise
- advising on the legal protection framework for species, habitats and sites
- undertaking species translocation operations
- planning and executing mitigation and compensation works
- preparing "Appropriate Assessments" related to sites protected under European legislation
- addressing air safety issues arising from bird usage of sites such as water space and landfills
- presenting evidence at public inquiry
- writing nature conservation management plans for sites including SSSIs
- supervising site management for biodiversity goals.
New wetlands created by AWA in North Kent to support breeding and wintering wildfowl and waders as compensation for the effects of the A249 trunk road improvement works and the new Swale crossing.
